Grandma's visit

We had our first visitor the past few days. Grandma was able to spend part of her vacation relaxing and playing with the boys here at White Buffalo Resort. Though with the way our boys can wear you out,she might be going home more tired than when she came. Here's a few pics from her stay.

The guys even raced her down the drive on her way home.

Then the guys spent some time fishing from the shore this afternoon. We must be starting to get the hang of trout fishing as it didn't take long to catch our limit. Fish anyone?

The first few weeks

We've finally uploaded some new pictures.

We enjoyed our first day on the water last Thursday when we spent the afternoon on the Buffalo River. The Buffalo is a slower moving and warmer water river that meets the White River just downstream from our resort. The Buffalo was also named the first National River (forgot the year) and has been virtually untouched over the years and remains in a beautiful natural state. It's well known as a great river to float in a canoe. We caught a good number of smallmouth bass on our trip, Micah is pictured with his first fish on the Buffalo. He said he wanted to hold it, but from the look on his face I'd say he wasn't too sure about that after all. :)

We Made It

After several months of anticipation, we finally arrived at White Buffalo Resort late Saturday afternoon (April 10). We greeted everyone for a bit and went about unloading the trailer and setting up shop. John and Eileen (the resort owners) were kind enough to have us over for a cookout that night. We enjoyed their hospitality!

Today we continued putting things in order. Kyla even got her first hours of training late in the morning. Micah and Daddy went on a long and steep hike after lunch. Here's a pic of the view from their destination:

We're definitely starting to settle in and learn the routine. We have all enjoyed the scenery and the beautiful weather. Laying in bed at night we can look upon the stars in the dark night sky. This is truly a wonderful place to be.

We'll post more pics of our first few days soon.

An Update At Last

Wow, what a crazy few weeks we've had. Work, work, and more work. With a bit more work after that. This week has been especially tiring. We are both exhausted. However, we are happy to say that the end is finally in sight.

We will be leaving Kansas City tomorrow.(A few days later than originally planned.) As of now, we plan to arrive in Arkansas mid-day Saturday. The excitment of finally arriving at WBR and moving forward with this journey is building within us. Hours upon hours of labor have left us worn out and ready for something more than preparation.

Our blog posts should become more regular as the pace of life will be slowing down. We have attached some pictures showing a few of the modifications we've made to the Airstream thus far.

Mods include: built new couch with storage bins under seat, all new home-made curtains throughout, laid new carpet in living room and bedroom, built suspended bed for Tucker over foot of our bed, refinished stove top, and lots of other items that I'm too tired to think of at midnight
