Capitalism

We're in the midst of selling off most of our large possessions. As we've kept tabs on the market preparing to buy and sell, I have been reminded of the odd and amazing nature of capitalism. Almost anything you have to sell, and I mean anything, you can find a buyer for. Have an AMC Gremlin rusting in your driveway? It's a pretty good bet someone's on the prowl looking to add to their collection of rusty old Gremlins. That 40-year-old green toilet setting in the garage? Well it just so happens there's a young professional in the city who's been looking for that exact toilet to complete their retro themed bathroom.

Seriously, it's amazing how many oddball items you can find on ebay, craigslist, etc... And the strangest thing is most of them sell. The idea that one man's trash is another man's treasure is certainly true. Let's hope there's someone looking for the items we have to sell. (Which aren't trash, but but are hopefully another's treasure!)
